
MMA-KAS Project for Entrepreneurship Development

MMA started the Entrepreneurship Development Project in 1989 with assistance from the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung to assist small and medium enterprises equip themselves with adequate knowledge and skill inputs to succeed in business. This Project has just completed 32 years of service to the SME Sector. With systemic changes taking place in the business and industrial firmament, we have tried to make our joint activities more broad-based and knowledge-oriented to better suit the demands of the SME sector. With the support of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Entrepreneurship Development activities continued vigorously during the year in spite of the pandemic and a record number of 420 training activities with 2,29,871 participants were conducted.
During the 32 years of implementation the project has continued to progress in quality as well as in content and quantity. The Managing Committee is glad to place on record that since the inception of the project, a total of 6250 training activities with 5,99,953 participants was conducted.
We remain deeply grateful and indebted to our German partner – Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and in particular to Mr Peter Rimmele, Resident Representative to India, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and Mr Pankaj Madan, Deputy Head- India Office & Head Programmes, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung for their unstinted co-operation and support to the MMA-KAS Entrepreneurship Development Project activities.
